In the age of Trump, a new China is emerging. The Chinese government is pulling out all the stops to boost consumer spending. Specifically, the Chinese government issued a special action plan to boost consumption on March 16.
The experience of local investors with S-REITs with Chinese assets hasn’t been a bed of roses so far. At one point, three S-REITs with Chinese assets and a property trust were listed. They were CapitaLand China Trust Au8u, Sasseur REIT, EC-World REIT and Dasin Retail Trust Cedu. If there is one property company that has placed a big bet on China property, it is Hongkong Land (HKL).
