SINGAPORE (Aug 15): The latest wave of fintech innovation is beginning to change the way we transact. More banking services are now accessible from our mobile phones and making payments from e-wallets is no longer a foreign concept. These highly visible fintech services are bringing innovation closer to home and are seeing ever increasing adoption, usage and availability.
Globally, fintech investment amounted to US$55.3 billion in 2018, with Singapore receiving US$365 million ($492.4 million), up from US$180 million in 2017 [1].
Both DBS and CGS International maintain their “hold” call on Aztech Global (Aztech) following its 3QFY2025 ended Sept 30 business update.
On Oct 15, Aztech reported 3QFY2025 earnings of $10.8 million, down 21% y-o-y, on the back of a 20% y-o-y drop in revenue to $133.5 million, amid subdued end-market demand from key customers.

Stock markets are riding high and corporate borrowing costs are aggressively close to risk-free rates. And yet, the Federal Reserve is set to cut interest rates in coming months and potentially slash capital demands for banks by billions of dollars.
DBS Group Research has kept its 'buy' call and $1.80 target price on ComfortDelGro after the Public Transport Council approved a 5% fare hike with effect from Dec 27, under its annual fare review exercise.
The increase of 5% is lower versus 6% DBS had projected, and is also significantly below the maximum allowable increase of 14.4% for 2026, with 9.4% deferred to subsequent years.
JP Morgan has released a second report on Keppel following an Oct 9 report that valued Keppel at $12.50 by end-2026.
Keppel has announced a $14.4 billion monetisation programme. An Oct 14 JP Morgan update on Keppel discusses some assets that could be divested.
"While we do not have clarity over the specific assets and timing, we see prospects of Keppel selling One Paramount ($400 million), an office park in India," JP Morgan says.
Adrian Loh of UOB Kay Hian has raised his target price for Keppel from $10.46 to $10.85, after applying a higher valuation multiple on its asset management business from 15x to 18x.
In his Oct 15 note, Loh notes that Keppel had a "busy" 3Q. It completed the divestment of its 70% stake in Saigon Sports City (SSC) for $354 million, sold its remaining stakes in two data centres in Singapore.
In addition, Keppel's Bifrost subsea cable system is now ready for service.
RHB Bank Singapore group chief economist Barnabas Gan has revised his full-year Singapore GDP forecast to 3.0% from 2.0%, reflecting stronger-than-expected growth in 3Q2025.
The Singapore economy grew 2.9% in 3Q2025, according to advanced estimates by the Ministry of Trade and Industry released on Oct 14.
However, Gan expects growth momentum to moderate to around 2.0% y-o-y in 4Q2025.
DBS Group Research, in an unrated note on Oct 14, figures that Soilbuild Construction Group has a fair value of $4.70, which is based on 12x FY2026 earnings.
Soilbuild shares gained 7.51% to change hands at $3.58.
The company has secured some $1.21 billion in orders which will provide revenue visibility till 1HFY2027.
"We remain excited on the group’s construction as well as prefabricated and precast supply segments, with them expected to continue seeing strong visibility on the back of Singapore’s infrastructure and building work," according to the DBS.
Lim & Tan Securities analyst Nicholas Yon has initiated coverage on ASL Marine with a “buy” call and a target price of 30 cents. Yon’s target price is pegged to an FY2027 P/E of 9.5 times and represents an upside of 39.5% to ASL Marine’s share price of 21.5 cents as at the close of Oct 13.
