Frank Benjamin, the founder of lifestyle retailer and distributor F J Benjamin, died on Dec 10.
According to the company’s website, Benjamin founded the company in 1959 and held the position as CEO until 2006. He was the executive chairman of the company since 1999 and redesignated as non-executive chairman in 2017.
Benjamin stepped down as non-executive chairman on Dec 31, 2022. He was appointed emeritus chairman and advisor to the board of directors in January 2023.
Catalist-listed F J Benjamin has several brands under its portfolio including Guess, Cole Haan, La Senza and Marc Jacobs.
Shares in F J Benjamin closed flat at 1.1 cents on Dec 10.
