Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has announced that it has secured additional shipbuilding contracts for 22 vessels worth US$920 million ($1.18 billion), since its order book update for the 1HFY2025 ended June 30.
The contacts comprise 18 units of containerships, two units of gas carriers and two units of bulk carriers. They are scheduled for deliveries between 2027 and 2029, and will not have a significant impact on earnings for the group for this financial year.
Year-to-date, the group has secured a total of 36 shipbuilding contracts with an aggregate value of US$1.46 billion.
Shares in Yangzijiang Shipbuilding closed 1 cent lower or 0.342% down at $2.91 on Aug 29.
