Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has recorded order wins of US$2.17 billion ($2.82 billion) for the 9MFY2025 ended Sept 30, four times more than in 1HFY2025.
This brings the group’s total order book value to US$22.83 billion.
Yangziijiang said that green vessels accounted for more than 70% of the total orderbook value, with containership remaining the dominant vessel type.
The group secured 38 containerships, 10 bulk carriers, 2 gas carriers in its order win breakdown. It says that it is confident in securing new orders for remaining delivery slots in 2029 which largely comprise small to mid-sized vessels.
The group says that it is 82% on target to achieve its FY2025 vessel delivery target of 56 vessels, with 46 vessels delivered y-t-d.
Yangzijiang divested one 1,800 TEU containership and auctioned two 82,000DWT bulk carriers in 3Q2025. As at Sept 30, neither of the auctioned vessels had been added to the fleet; one was added in October, with the other expected to be added within the next three months.

The group has 32 vessels in its fleet with an average age of 8.40 years.
It has plans to expand Project Hongyuan to 866,671 metre square, 17% more than the existing site which is scheduled for completion by 1HFY2027. The group is also constructing its LNG Terminal Business which is made up of an LNG Terminal and LNG Storage Tank Facilities, also scheduled for completion by 1HFY2027.
Shares in Yangzijiang Shipbuilding closed 3 cents lower or 0.870% down at $3.42 on Nov 17.
