MINI throws a mega party to introduce Singapore to its John Cooper Works range
MINI Asia and Eurokars Group's MINI Singapore turn up the heat at "The Rebel Base", which was set up at 25 Pasir Panjang earlier this month, to showcase a range of five new John Cooper Works (or JCW for short) models: JCW Electric, JCW Aceman, JCW Countryman ALL4, JCW Cooper and JCW Convertible.
John Cooper Works iterations of the MINI are engineered to deliver pure driving fun in their most powerful forms, with two all-electric models joining the portfolio for the first time, the JCW Aceman and JCW Electric.
When an exhilarating drive is so inextricably bound to the DNA as it is with the MINIs, it is only natural that there is some driving to be enjoyed at the weekend event, which saw owners, prospects and KOLs among the 200-strong guest list.

By no means was the on-location track a long and winding one.
If anything, the compact, gymkhana course was designed to demonstrate the agility and spunkiness of the JCW models and how precise they can be placed, especially given the tight confines of Singapore's urban city-scape. Naturally, road-drives were made available for those who wanted to spend some extra time with the cars.
With the infamous "99 bends" just a short hop, skip and jump away from the venue, it gave the participants a better chance to come to grips with the tautly precise dynamics of the JCW family.
In keeping with the rambunctious character of the MINI JCWs, the driving event was topped-off with a party.
This goes a long way in connecting the enthusiast community, which is something all brands are working towards these days.

After all, it is such shared experiences that enliven any ownership experience, and given the parties MINI throws, this should leave quite an impression on the attendees.
"MINI John Cooper Works boasts a cult following around the world that few others can match," said Daren Ching, Head of MINI Asia (pictured above).
Ching adds, "Steeped in heritage and oozing pure racing DNA, these striking machines are a sight to behold on the road. Now with the addition of two fully electric models to the lineup, a new dimension of the iconic MINI go-kart feeling is born. If jolts of adrenaline are what drivers desire, I can assure them that all five models of our all-new MINI John Cooper Works family will exceed their expectations!"
