The move reflects the continued partnership between SingPost and SMRT’s business arm, Stellar Lifestyle.
The latest POPStop will feature a generative artificial intelligence (AI)-powered digital assistant, which is a first-of-its-kind service pilot for the group. The AI assistant will interact with SingPost’s customers, answer frequently asked questions, as well as dispense labels and postage stamps. The assistant will enable SingPost’s customer service teams to handle more complex inquiries, says SingPost.
In addition, SingPost announced that its POPDrop, a self-service box solution, will soon be deployed in selected heartland areas from May. The solution is said to offer a secure and efficient way for merchants and consumers to drop off or return smaller items.
Eight more POPDrops are planned for rollout across Singapore in the following months.
