(Nov 22): Ukraine plans to hold high-ranking talks in Switzerland with US officials on the potential parameters for a peace agreement with Russia, according to a senior Ukrainian official.

Ukraine is ready for substantive talks in the coming days, Rustem Umerov, the secretary of the National Defense and Security Council, said in a post on Telegram.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy named him as part of a delegation that is expected to meet officials from the US and other international partners of Ukraine, as well as Russia, according to a decree published on Saturday. Zelenskiy named his chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, to lead the delegation.

Separately, Zelenskiy instructed the Cabinet to start a review of state-owned defence companies and their contracts, in addition to an audit of energy companies which is already under way. All findings about potential violations should be immediately reported to law-enforcement and anti-graft agencies, he said on Telegram.
