ParkwayLife REIT's manager announced a few changes to its board on Oct 17. Ho Kian Guan, who has been on the board since Cotober 2016 as independent director and chairman, will retire on Oct 20. Earlier this year, Dr. Jennifer Lee Gek Choo also retired as Independent Director, Chairperson of Nominating and Remuneration Committee (NRC), and Member of Audit and Risk Committee (ARC) on Feb 21. Cheah Sui Ling, Independent Director and Chairperson of the ARC and Member of the NRC, will retire from the Board as she approaches the end of her 9-year term.
Robin Hu Yee Cheng will be appointed Chairman of the Board. Also joining the Board as Independent Director effective Oct 20 is Eng-Kwok Seat Moey, who will serve as a member of the ARC and the NRC and she will be succeeding Cheah Sui Ling as the Chairperson of the ARC in due course. Eng-Kwok who has head of equity capital markets at DBS Group Holdings before she retired is known unofficially as the mother of S-REITs.
