SATS has announced changes to the composition of its board with the appointment of Malcolm Wilson as an independent non-executive director of the company with effect from Jan 15.
Wilson is currently the executive board member of Dawson Group, a portfolio company of KKR & Co. Prior to his role at KKR, he was CEO of GXO Logistics Inc, and has held several senior leadership positions in the global logistical and supply chain industry.
“With his extensive background in logistics and deep knowledge of the European and USA markets in particular, his expertise will bring added value and synergy to the board and enhance existing competencies and skills within the board,” reads the announcement by SATS.
With effect from Jan 15, the board of directors of SATS comprises the following members: Irving Tan; Kerry Mok; Vinita Bali; Chan Lai Fung; Eng Aik Meng; Mak Swee Wah; Deborah Ong; Pier Sigismondi and Malcolm Wilson.
Wilson will also be appointed as a member of the remuneration and human resource committee, and the safety and sustainability risk committee.
Shares in SATS closed 4 cents higher or 1.05% up at $3.85 on Jan 14.
