As executive consultant, the group says Leung is still “considered an executive officer of the group”.
The group adds that Leung’s transition comes on the back of a “thorough assessment and planned transition”.
Leung’s former responsibilities as chief technology officer is expected to be assumed by the group’s CEO, chief operating officer and general managers of different segments within the IT infrastructure division.
As chief technology officer, Leung was previously responsible for driving technological innovation across the group’s businesses and collaborating with general managers and management team to distribute and implement new product lines.

The group says that it will not be filling the CTO position immediately.
Instead, the group adds that they will be “reorganising the management team to ensure a sustainable executive structure that supports future growth”.
Shares in Karin Technology closed 0.5 cents lower, or down 1.56%, at 31.5 cents on Sept 30.
