In June, the total number of listed securities fell by 2.7% y-o-y to 623 from 640 in June last year, with total market capitalisation at $792.93 billion, 2.31% down y-o-y.
The market turnover value of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) increased by 23% y-o-y to $272 million. Turnover of fixed income ETFs gained 59% y-o-y, largely contributed by increased trading in the iShares Asia USD High Yield Bond ETF.
Total derivatives traded volume rose 5% y-o-y to 22.4 million contracts in June. Derivatives daily average volume (DDAV) was up by 13% y-o-y to 1.2 million contracts.
Foreign exchange (FX) futures traded volume climbed by 35% y-o-y to 4.5 million contracts in June as market participants hedged amid shifting expectations for interest rate cuts.

SGX US dollar (USD)/Chinese yuan (CNH) FX Futures and SGX Indian rupee (INR)/USD FX Futures, two of the top 10 most-traded listed futures globally, achieved single-day open interest (OI) records of 219,005 lots on June 13 and 297,086 lots on June 25, respectively. SGX Korean won (KRW)/USD FX Futures also set new OI records for both mini and full-sized contracts during the month.
Commodity derivatives traded volume rose by 30% y-o-y in June to 5.1 million contracts led by led by benchmark iron ore derivatives and SGX SICOM rubber futures.
Dairy derivatives marked a single-day OI record of 169,908 contracts on June 18.

GIFT Nifty 50 Futures DAV and month-end OI climbed to a record US$5.1 billion ($6.89 billion) and US$11 billion, respectively. Nifty 50 Options DAV reached US$222 million, quadrupling since the start of full-scale operation of the NSE IX-SGX GIFT Connect in July 2023.
