Sembcorp Industries has won an expanded an existing 18-year power supply agreement from Micron Technology.
Under the agreement first signed in 2023, Sembcorp has been supplying 450MW to the US semicon firm's Singapore operations.
Micron on Jan 27 announced an expansion of its presence here with an investment of US$24 billion.
The expanded agreement will see Sembcorp sell another 150MW to Micron.
The length of the agreement remains at 18 years, through 2041.
"By supplying power to Micron’s manufacturing facilities, Sembcorp is supporting the continued build-out of advanced semiconductor manufacturing capabilities that underpin the global AI ecosystem," says Sembcorp.

Sembcorp shares closed at $5.92 on Jan 28, down 0.17%. It is up 9.02% in the past year.
