Singapore Airlines has launched and priced $500 million in aggregate principal amount of 2.70% notes due 2036 as part of its $10 billion multicurrency medium term note programme.

The notes are comprised in Series 012, and DBS, OCBC and UOB are the joint global coordinators.

The notes are being offered outside the US and in Singapore to institutional investors and accredited investors.

The notes are expected to be issued on Jan 30, and mature on Jan 30, 2036, payable semi-annually in arrear.

Net proceeds from the issue of the notes will be used by the company for aircraft purchases and aircraft related payments and general corporate or working capital purposes, including refinancing of existing borrowings of the company.

Shares in SIA Group closed 3 cents higher or 0.471% up at $6.40 on Jan 20.
