Creative Technology’s CEO Song Siow Hui retires after more than three decades in the company, according to a bourse filing on Feb 28. 

Executive chairman Dr Tan Jok Tin has been appointed the interim CEO while the board looks to appoint a new CEO. The board says it will conduct a global search for a “dynamic and visionary leader” to take the company into its next phase of growth. 

Song’s appointment as CEO came after the unexpected death of former CEO Sim Wong Hoo, one of Singapore’s most famous technology entrepreneurs. 

Dr Tan says: “We are entering a new and exciting phase for Creative. Our focus remains on strengthening our market leadership in audio innovation, enhancing profitability, and delivering
exceptional value to our customers and stakeholders. By refining our product roadmap and
streamlining operations, we are positioning Creative for sustainable growth and long-term
success in an evolving industry.”

Shares in Creative Technology closed 1 cent lower or 0.962% down at $1.03 on Feb 28.
