StarHub and NeutraDC, the data-centre arm of Telkom Indonesia, have signed a memorandum of understanding to advance quantum-safe connectivity across Southeast Asia.

The agreement spans quantum-resistant encryption, post-quantum cryptography and next-generation secure network infrastructure aimed at supporting the region’s expanding digital ecosystem.

StarHub’s Low-Latency Data Centre Connect solution with be integrated with NeutraDC’s carrier-neutral data centre ecosystem, which supports a growing base of enterprise and hyperscale customers across Indonesia and Singapore. This aims to strengthen cross-border data exchange as companies expand AI, cloud and real-time workloads.

A central element of the effort is StarHub’s new Point of Presence (PoP) at NeutraDC SNG-3 in Singapore. The PoP provides direct, ultra-low-latency paths between data centres, cloud environments and mission-critical applications, including a sub-1 millisecond route to cable-landing stations for wider regional reach.

With quantum threats emerging, the collaboration also positions both operators to support future cryptographic standards. Customers tapping the PoP will gain software-defined networking features such as network slicing and bandwidth-on-demand, end-to-end automation for faster provisioning, and quantum-safe encryption for long-term data protection.

“Enterprises today are navigating unprecedented data demands, and they need infrastructure that can keep up with their growth. Through this collaboration with NeutraDC, we’re making it simpler for businesses to move, protect, and scale their data, helping them unlock real performance advantages and accelerate their digital transformation across the region,” says Tan Kit Yong, chief of Regional Enterprise at StarHub.

NeutraDC said the initiative is aligned with its regional connectivity strategy. “This strategic initiative strengthens NeutraDC’s strategy of providing seamless, secure and cloud-ready connectivity to our regional Neutra Compute GPU clouds. Quantum secure connectivity represents the new frontier of security, overcoming the limitations of current encryption standards. This will empower our customers to stay ahead of emerging threats and meet evolving business requirements,” says Sendang Praptomo, chief executive officer of NeutraDC Singapore.

The agreement expands StarHub’s network of data-centre alliances and supports its push to extend its Low-Latency Data Centre Connect footprint across Southeast Asia, targeting enterprise demand for quantum-secure, cloud-ready interconnection as digital workloads grow more complex.
