Announcing the TOP on July 6, Lendlease, which manages the asset, says other notable tenants at Shaw Tower include global fintech company Adyen, healthcare company Sanofi, oncology company BeOne Medicines and co-working space operator Industrious, formerly known as The Great Room.
Column-free, contiguous floor plates ranging from 18,000 sq ft to 20,000 sq ft give tenants the freedom to design workspaces, notes Lendlease. Around 60% of the building’s office space has either been committed or is in advanced negotiations, adds the firm.
Lendlease provides asset and property management services for Shaw Tower, which Shaw Towers Realty owns.
The redeveloped Shaw Tower offers 435,000 sq ft of Grade-A office space across 23 office floors, alongside 15,700 sq ft of retail space, including a rooftop bar and restaurant overlooking Marina Bay. The building also incorporates event spaces, sky gardens and community facilities in collaboration with the National Council of Social Services.
A sky terrace on the fifth floor hosts an amphitheatre and flexible event zones. A “hub space” offers two large event spaces, each accommodating more than 120 people.
Further up, the sky garden and sky deck on levels 19 and 20, respectively, offer a waterfall, BBQ pits and open-air views for gatherings.
Opened in 1976, the original Shaw Tower was one of the pioneering mixed-use developments in Singapore. Shaw Towers Realty is a subsidiary of the Hong Kong-based Shaw Foundation and The Sir Run Run Shaw Charitable Trust.

Alfred Yeung, general manager of Shaw Towers Realty, says: “The completion of Shaw Tower redevelopment marks an epic moment in the Foundation’s history. The Shaw Tower address has always been part of Singapore’s story too, and together with Lendlease, we cherish being part of that legacy while building for the future.”
Shaw Tower is the first Grade-A commercial building in Singapore to achieve the Building and Construction Authority’s (BCA) Green Mark Platinum (Super Low Energy) Certification under the 2021 criteria. The certification is supported by an advanced hybrid air-conditioning system, building-integrated wind turbines and smart facilities management systems that continuously monitor and adjust indoor air quality and lighting levels.
The property is also the first to achieve both WiredScore and SmartScore Platinum certifications. WiredScore recognises the building’s digital connectivity infrastructure, while SmartScore certifies its smart building capabilities. The building is projected to deliver more than 60% energy savings compared with buildings compliant with the 2005 code.
Richard Paine, senior advisor, Lendlease Development, says: “Being part of the redevelopment journey from the start, we are proud to see Shaw Tower stand tall once again on the Beach Road skyline. The development is built on our continued commitment to sustainability, digital connectivity, and heritage preservation.”
