The dual openings reflect Marriott’s broader push to expand its mid-scale footprint across Asia-Pacific excluding China, as Japan continues to see strong domestic and international travel demand.
“The debut of City Express by Marriott in Osaka reflects our confidence in Japan’s travel market and the growing demand for high-quality, value-driven accommodations,” says Yuji Tanaka, market vice-president for Japan and Guam at New York-listed Marriott International.
He adds: “Osaka is one of the country’s most culturally rich and dynamic cities, and these two hotels provide convenient gateways for both domestic and international travelers to experience its unique energy.”
The 100-room City Express by Marriott Shin-Imamiya is located beside Shin-Imamiya Station, offering direct access to the JR Osaka Loop Line, Osaka Metro and Nankai Main Line. Nearby attractions include Tsutenkaku Tower, Kuromon Market and the shopping and entertainment districts of Namba and Dotonbori.

On-brand, both properties feature complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, flexible workspaces, breakfast offerings and beverage welcome corners, targeting travellers seeking efficient and economical stays.
