Courtyard by Marriott, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of over 30 hotel brands, has entered Okinawa with a 170-room beachfront resort in Nago.

The opening of Courtyard by Marriott Okinawa Resort deepens New York-listed hospitality giant Marriott International’s resort footprint in Japan’s southernmost prefecture.

Set along Kise Beach overlooking the pristine waters of Nago Bay in northern Okinawa, Courtyard by Marriott Okinawa Resort offers guests a scenic beachfront retreat with uninterrupted ocean and mountain views.

Just steps away is the Busena Marine Park Underwater Observatory, A short drive leads to Kanehide Kise Country Club, home to two championship golf courses set against dramatic coastal and forest scenery, adjacent to the Unesco World Heritage-listed Yambaru National Park.

The hotel sits approximately 72km, or an hour’s drive, from Naha International Airport.

Designed by renowned Japanese architectural firm Kume Sekkei, the hotel’s interiors reflect the Courtyard by Marriott brand’s modern aesthetic centered on comfort, functionality and contemporary style.

The hotel’s 170 guestrooms and suites are thoughtfully appointed with modern amenities, offering both comfort and style. Ocean View Rooms feature private balconies overlooking the sea, while Mountain View Rooms provide serene vistas of the surrounding landscape.

According to Marriott, many guestrooms sleep up to four guests, making them a natural fit for families and groups. Select suites also come with bunk beds, a thoughtful detail for families with younger children or friends travelling together.

Located on the 10th floor is Coral, the hotel’s 210 sqm event venue. Bathed in natural light and framed by sweeping 180-degree ocean views, the event space creates an inspiring setting for meetings and private celebrations.

Weddings at the resort are held in the chapel on the second floor, where couples can exchange vows in a serene island setting. Following the ceremony, guests can gather at Coral for bespoke wedding receptions and celebrations.

Courtyard by Marriott Okinawa Resort also boasts an all-day dining restaurant and a lobby lounge and bar.
