This follows two announcements of the change in leadership at SBS in recent years. Ex-chief executive of SBS Cheng Siak Kian was appointed as the deputy chief executive of ComfortDelGroin March 2022, while member-of-parliament Desmond Choo stepped down on Jan 31, 2022, to join the Economic Development Board.
Former Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) executive Patrick Daniel has been named as an independent non-executive director of SBS Transit, according to an announcement dated Dec 29.
Daniel was the editor-in-chief of SPH media, deputy CEO of SPH, and most recently the interim CEO of SPH Media Trust until 2022. His new appointment will take effect from Jan 1, 2024.
