Singtel said in a Facebook post at 5.07pm that its engineers had isolated the problem affecting fixed voice services. “Recovery measures are being rapidly deployed and services are progressively being restored. We apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience.”
The outage affected emergency hotlines operated by the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force, along with the customer hotlines of Singapore’s three local banks.
DBS said in a Facebook update at 4.50pm that certain NETS transactions may also be affected, such as QR, credit and debit, and NETS card transactions.
