Meta Health has appointed Law Ren Kai Kenneth as its chairman of the board. Law will replace current chairman Dr Bernard Ng Kee Huat, who is also the company’s executive director and CEO. The changes were effective on April 29.
Ng stepped down from his role to separate the roles of being chairman and CEO of the company. The move was made for “good corporate governance”, says Meta Healthin an April 30 filing. Ng was chairman of the board from June 7, 2022.
Law is currently chief financial officer (CFO) at Tembusu Partners, a boutique private equity firm. He has been an independent non-executive director of Meta Health since June 30, 2022. Law was previously financial advisor at Viking Offshore and Marine Limited from June to August 2022.
Shares in Meta Health closed flat at 1.1 cents on April 29.
