Great Eastern Holdings (GEH) has announced changes to its board, with the cessation of Helen Wong as non-executive non-independent director and the appointment of Tan Teck Long.

Wong, 64, was appointed as non-executive non-independent director in 2021, and will step down on Dec 31, 2025.

As such, Tan, who is currently the deputy group CEO and head of global wholesale banking of OCBC, will step into the role on Jan 1, 2026.

Tan, 56, was previously the deputy CEO of OCBC from July 2025 to December 2025. He also held roles in DBS as group chief risk officer, and managing director and group head of corporate banking.

Tan’s other current directorships include being director of Bank of Ningbo.

Shares in GEH closed 3 cents higher or 0.2% up at $15.27 on Dec 22.
