He has done well and as he continues to lead our PMG, I look forward to him growing the business from strength to strength,” says the group’s managing director and group CEO, Cheng Siak Kian.

Tan has been with the group since September 2019 and has been the COO of ComfortDelGro Taxi for 3.5 years. As COO, Tan oversaw and managed the operations of the nearly 10,000-strong vehicle fleet. His other duties include growing the group’s electric taxi and private-hire fleets. In addition, Tan had a six-month stint at Swan Taxi – the group’s taxi business in Perth, Western Australia – where he turned around the business and grew the number of taxis within the network by more than 20%.
Prior to joining ComfortDelGro, Tan had spent 28 years with the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) as a veteran fighter pilot and was its Chief of Staff – Air Staff (COS-AS).
