The InterContinental Singapore hotel in Bugis has rebranded as Frasers House and joined Marriott International’s The Luxury Collection portfolio.

The hotel’s debut, announced Jan 7, follows an agreement between Frasers Hospitality and Marriott International, announced in October 2025. Frasers House, a Luxury Collection hotel, is the first property within the brand’s portfolio in Singapore’s city centre.

The hotel will embark on a “thoughtful restoration journey”, drawing from the rich tapestry of nearby enclaves, such as Kampong Glam, Arab Street and the Bras Basah-Bugis arts district.

Works will be rolled out in phases. Once complete, the hotel will offer over 400 guest rooms and suites, according to a The Luxury Collection announcement. The hotel’s existing restaurants are also set to change.

The property’s approximately 1,000 sqm of versatile event space, including its grand ballroom, will also receive refreshed designs, modern comforts, and heritage-inspired accents.

Guests may continue to enjoy the outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre and a renewed suite of wellness offerings, says the hotel operator.

Previous operator InterContinental Hotels Group announced in September 2025 that it would exit on Dec 31, 2025, when its management agreement expires.

Frasers Hospitality later indicated that the refreshed hotel will feature 406 guestrooms and suites, starting from 38 sqm, along with six dining and social venues.

Marriott International’s existing portfolio of hotels in Singapore includes The St Regis Singapore, JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach and The Singapore Edition, which officially opened in May 2024.
