In the first 10 months of 2024, the US accounted for 29.3% of the total number of VC deals announced globally, while its share in terms of corresponding funding value stood at 53.5%.
Aurojyoti Bose, lead analyst at GlobalData, notes that this could be attributed to the “massive jump” in a number of big-ticket deals.
GlobalData found that between January and October this year, there were 4,028 deals, with 245 reaching over US$100 million in value. The total number of deals fell 32.8% y-o-y.
