SIA Group combined passenger carriage up 4.8% y-o-y to 3.8 mil in Dec 2025

Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group has reported a 1.9% y-o-y growth in group passenger traffic and 2.6% y-o-y growth in passenger capacity for December 2025.

Passenger load factor (PLF) came in at 87.9% for the month, with SIA and Scoot achieving monthly PLFs of 87.6% and 89.1% respectively.

The combined passenger carriage rose 4.8% y-o-y to 3.8 million on the back of year-end peak travel demand, bringing the total passenger carriage for 2025 to 41.6 million. This is 6.6% higher than the previous year of 39 million in 2024.

SIA Group says that this is a new monthly record for the group, which was previously 3.6 million passengers carried in December 2024.

Cargo carriage rose 7.4% y-o-y, with increased freighter activity supported by traditional year-end demand. Cargo loads grew by 4.5%, outpacing the 1.6% expansion in cargo capacity.

As a result, the cargo load factor was 1.6 percentage points higher at 55.2%.

During the month, Scoot launched passenger services to Labuan Bajo and Semarang in Indonesia, and Okinawa in Japan.

As of end-December 2025, the group’s passenger network covered 134 destinations in 37 countries and territories. SIA and Scoot each served 79 destinations. The cargo network comprised 138 destinations in 38 countries and territories.

Shares in SIA Group closed 4 cents lower or 0.625% down at $6.36 on Jan 15.
