Singapore Airlines group (SIA) will be rewarding eligible staff with a bonus of 7.45 months for the FY2025, after the flag-carrier posted record earnings of $2.8 billion that is up 3.9% y-o-y.
The healthy net profit was largely thanks to a one-off non-cash accounting gain of $1.1 billion from the Air India-Vistara merger.
Including the interim payout of 10 cents per share disbursed on December 11, 2024, the total dividend for the year amounts to 40 cents per share- bringing the annual distribution to $1.2 billion.
In comparison, the profit-sharing bonus for the FY2025 falls slightly behind FY2024’s 7.94 month bonus.
For the FY2024, the airline reported earnings of $2.68 billion, a 24% y-o-y from the previous year, buoyed in part by one-off gains and underpinned by a steady recovery across the industry.
With a final dividend per share of 38 cents, this brought the full-year payout for the previous year in the same period to 48 cents.
