Homegrown laminate company Lamitak has launched its flagship showroom.

Located at 14 Senoko Loop, the new Lamitak Gallery is a clean, minimalist space that focuses squarely on the properties and potential of laminates.

Walking in, visitors are greeted by an open floor plan with various sections inviting them to explore how laminates can be used in different ways.

Starting things off is an area dedicated to the different types and qualities of laminates, as well as the different elements involved in the lamination process, from base materials to adhesives. For those just starting on their home renovation journey, this is a useful, interactive space that can help make the often-confusing world of carpentry a little easier to digest.

Visitors are also invited to look closely at — and, of course, touch — swatches from Lamitak’s Protak range (which has anti-fingerprint and scratch-resistant qualities, among others), as well as the Solid Core range, where the laminates are homogenous throughout, so you don’t get harsh lines at the edges.

Throughout the showroom, Lamitak has custom-created furniture using its products. From tables that make use of its Newedge edging strips to entire counters covered in marble-textured laminates, the brand showcases applications of laminates and highlights possibilities for how they might be used in homes.

Laminate swatches are available in small and full sizes at different areas of the showroom. Those who have narrowed down their selections can learn more about each product using the scanning station, where RFID technology gives instant information and digital samples of how the laminates look in real-world applications.
