Chinese smartphone maker Honor is bringing its latest foldable device, Magic V5, to Singapore starting July 23. Offered in a single configuration with 16GB RAM and 512GB of storage, the smartphone comes in four colours: dawn gold, ivory white, silk brown, and black.

Consumers who pre-order by July 22 can purchase the phone for $2,199 and receive up to $837 in complimentary gifts, including the Honor Pad 10, Honor Magic Pen, and a one-year extended warranty—while stocks last.

Pre-orders can be made through the official Honor website, its experience stores at Causeway Point, NEX, Tiong Bahru Plaza, and Plaza Singapura, as well as official online platforms like Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok Shop. The phone will also be available via authorised retailers such as Harvey Norman, Gain City, Best Denki, Courts, Challenger, KrisShop, and Popular.

Magic V5 is also available with $0 upfront on selected telco plans from M1 and Singtel, which include exclusive gifts worth up to $1,036, depending on plan tier. StarHub customers can pre-order the phone on a two-year 5G Device Plan and enjoy savings of up to $710, including bonus cashback with eligible trade-ins.

Slim without compromising durability and performance

Singapore will be the first market outside China to get access to Magic V5, which debuted there earlier this month.

Magic V5, made possible through Honor’s AI-driven manufacturing, measures just 8.8mm when folded and 4.1mm when unfolded—thinner than two stacked $1 coins—and weighs only 217g. It features a 7.95-inch inner display for multitasking, content creation, and productivity, along with a practical 6.43-inch outer screen for quick access on the go.

Powering Magic V5 is a 5820mAh HONOR Silicon-Carbon Battery, which is just 2.59mm thick. When combined with the E2 Power Enhanced Chip and SoC voltage regulation, the smartphone delivers improved efficiency, thermal management, and safety. The smartphone supports 66W wired and 50W wireless charging for rapid charging.

Despite its ultra-slim profile, durability is not compromised. Magic V5 includes a carbon fibre-reinforced inner display and nano-crystal shield outer screen to protect against everyday wear and tear. The Honor Super Steel Hinge offers 2,300MPa of tensile strength, enabling Magic V5 to endure over 100 folds a day and withstand up to 35kg of pressure.

The smartphone is also rated IP58 and IP59 for water and dust resistance, offering reliable protection in varied conditions. Performance-wise, Magic V5 runs on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, built on a 3nm process, and supports advanced AI multitasking features, including those powered by Google’s Gemini.

Magic V5 enables users to perform tasks like trip planning using Honor’s AI-powered Three Split Screen. Users can compare hotel prices on Screen 1, update friends via Screen Sharing on Screen 2, and receive live suggestions from Gemini on Screen 3, including restaurant recommendations and itinerary planning.

For imaging, Magic V5 features the Honor AI Falcon Camera System, comprising a 64MP periscope telephoto lens with up to 100 times zoom, a 50MP wide camera, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. These are enhanced by Honor’s AI image processing for vivid colour accuracy and detail.

Integrated AI tools like AI Super Zoom, Enhanced Portrait, Motion Sensing Capture, and in-gallery editing features (including AI Outpainting, Eraser, Cutout, Upscale, and Live Photo) allow users to shoot and edit professional-quality photos without third-party apps.
