To activate AutoCharge, drivers must request a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) from Go by City Energy and register it in the app. During their first session, the charger detects the EV’s unique Charge Controller ID (EVCC ID) before prompting the driver to unplug and reconnect the charging cable to complete the pairing.
Once set up, drivers can plug in and charge at any AutoCharge-enabled point without further app interaction.
In Singapore, AutoCharge is available at five locations, including Pullman Singapore Hill Street, Klimt Cairnhill, Komo Shoppes, North Gaia and North Park Residences. Plans are in place to progressively roll out the feature to customers islandwide.
In Malaysia, those charge points are enabled through a strategic collaboration with JomCharge, a charging network operated by Malaysian EV Connection.

"We are now redefining the EV charging experience by making it truly effortless. After [a one-time registration, EV drivers] can simply plug in and power up without touching their phones – no apps, no QR codes, no hassle. EV charging with Go by City Energy could now be the most intuitive and appealing experience for EV drivers,” says Perry Ong, chief executive officer of City Energy.
The rollout supports Singapore’s green future and City Energy’s target of investing over $100 million to expand its EV charging infrastructure across private residential and commercial sites in Singapore by 2030.
