As smart home adoption grows in Singapore, modern home solutions are becoming a more important consideration for homeowners, interior designers and property developers in shaping homes that are sleek, practical and future-ready.

That is where the Küche Intelligent Gas Hob comes in. Designed for premium condominium living, the Smart Wi-Fi hob combines the familiarity of gas cooking with a suite of intelligent features: the Intelligent HeatShield, five intelligent cooking modes, seamless remote control, built-in timer control and nine-level precise flame control. A smart cooking solution that enhances convenience, precision and safety while fitting naturally into the modern home.

For developers, architects and interior designers, the proposition extends beyond the appliance itself. Küche presents the smart gas hob as part of a luxurious smart-living ecosystem that can elevate residential developments and meet the rising demand for integrated, design-led home solutions.

At first glance, the Küche Intelligent Gas Hob does not seem like an overly technical product. Its matte black tempered glass surface, touch controls and clean lines give it a refined, understated look that sits comfortably in contemporary kitchens. The intelligent functions are built in, allowing the technology to work quietly in the background.

This matters in a segment where buyers expect both sophistication and ease of use. Rather than asking users to adapt to new cooking habits, the hob is designed around routines already familiar in many homes, especially in Asian kitchens where stir-frying, soups, steaming and frying remain part of everyday cooking.

“The Intelligent Gas Hob was designed to bring together the seamless technology of gas cooking with intelligent features that enhance precision, convenience and peace of mind,” says Soh Guan Hong, senior vice-president, residential sales, City Energy. “The aim is to deliver a more elevated cooking experience while preserving the performance that home cooks value.”

Designed for everyday cooking

A key unique point of the Küche Intelligent Gas Hob is its five pre-programmed cooking modes, thoughtfully designed to meet common household cooking needs.

Soup Mode, with a default setting of 90 minutes, is suited for slow-cooked soups, before bringing ingredients to a boil before maintaining a controlled simmer. Steam Mode, preset to 30 minutes, maintains a steady boil for consistent steaming of dishes such as fish, dumplings, and vegetables. Pan Fry Mode maintains a default temperature of 150°C, while Deep Fry Mode is preset at 200°C for higher-temperature cooking. Boiling Mode brings liquids to a boil and keeps them there for a preset duration.

These functions are meant to simplify cooking for a wide range of users, including those who may be less experienced in the kitchen.

With great power comes great responsibility — for control. One of the advantages of gas cooking is its ability to handle high-heat cooking styles such as stir-frying, where a fast flame response is hard to replicate with other electric formats. Küche keeps that strength while adding more precision to support a broader range of recipes.

All-in-one

Smart kitchen technology is often discussed in terms of convenience, but Küche also prioritises safety first.

The hob is built around an Intelligent Heatshield for households where attention is often divided. If the hob is left unattended, it automatically turns off the gas when the temperature reaches about 280°C. It also includes flame failure protection, which shuts off the gas supply if the flame is accidentally extinguished.

These features are supported by app-based functions that allow users to monitor and manage the appliance more closely. Through the app, users can adjust or stop cooking time, receive usage notifications when cooking cycles are completed or prolonged, and get real-time alerts for issues such as flame failure, dry-burn triggers, abnormal temperature spikes or system irregularities. The app also allows remote shutdown within gas appliance safety limits and provides estimated usage data, such as cooking duration and gas consumption.

For users who may have left home and started wondering whether the hob is still running, this type of remote monitoring could prove particularly useful. It also aligns with broader smart-home expectations, where consumers increasingly want greater visibility and control over household systems from their phones.

“Today’s homeowners are looking for solutions that integrate effortlessly into daily life while offering greater assurance, control and design appeal,” says Soh. “Features such as timer control, notifications and remote shutdown are intended to support a more considered and confident cooking experience.”

The Küche Intelligent Gas Hob is also part of a larger smart kitchen ecosystem that includes smart hoods, ovens and gas water heaters. Its hob-and-hood interlocking function allows the hood to switch on automatically with the correct settings, helping to streamline the cooking process. The system can also be monitored and controlled via the iAppliances app and integrated with Google Home for deeper customisation.

This wider ecosystem is especially relevant for developers or interior designers who are planning entire kitchen environments rather than single-product installations. A consistent premium design across the Küche range also helps maintain a cohesive premium look, an important consideration in residential projects.

“The kitchen remains one of the most considered spaces in the home, where design, functionality and everyday living come together,” says Soh. “Developers and homeowners are increasingly seeking solutions that combine refined design, strong performance and smart functionality. That is where Küche aims to deliver value.”
