Ninja Van Malaysia says it has doubled warehouse scanning speeds after deploying Zebra Technologies’ devices, printers and a cloud-based management system to handle higher order volumes.

The delivery company, which serves nearly 25 million recipients nationwide, has introduced AC2 WAVE’s warehouse management system alongside Zebra TC2 series mobile computers and ZD200 series desktop printers.

The new solutions provide warehouse staff with real-time guidance on inventory locations via handheld devices. Once items are picked, they are labelled at packing stations before being routed for dispatch.

According to Ninja Van Malaysia, its workers are now processing between 30 and 60 scans a minute. This effectively doubles previous scanning speeds as the company handles thousands of daily orders.

The upgrade comes as the company expands fulfilment operations for e-commerce and business-to-business customers, adding pressure to process a wide range of orders and meet time-sensitive dispatch schedules without delays during peak periods.

“With faster scanning and a system that keeps everything flowing seamlessly, our operations are now smoother, more efficient, and truly exceptional. Instead of waiting for the system to catch up, things just move. I can now spend less time at the warehouse troubleshooting, as things take care of themselves. There is less frustration, people are happier, and they keep their momentum going throughout the shift,” says Tzi Zhao Lee, director of supply chain and partnerships at Ninja Van Malaysia.

Ninja Van Malaysia uses Zebra Technology’s printers to produce parcel labels for different operational requirements. The company says the reliability of the labels has helped reduce complaints related to missed or delayed deliveries.

The deployment integrates picking, labelling, and final dispatch into a single workflow, giving the operator greater visibility into inventory and parcel movement as it manages higher fulfilment volumes.

“Ninja Van Malaysia’s success demonstrates how equipping the connected frontline with the right technology can help logistics providers modernise operations at scale. By combining Zebra’s warehousing solutions with the robust AC2 WAVE WMS, it has helped enabled Ninja Van to overcome peak-volume challenges, improve workforce productivity, and deliver more reliable service for customers,” says Joelle Booi, Country Lead for Singapore, Zebra Technologies.
