Singapore payments platform AXS has introduced a rewards programme that incentivises everyday bill payments.

The new AXS Rewards programme allows users to earn AXS Coins for bill payments completed on the AXS mobile app across all billing organisations on the platform.

The coins can be redeemed as bill credits, with AXS planning to expand the rewards catalogue by the second quarter of 2026 to include vouchers for categories such as food, travel and everyday services.

As part of a limited-time launch promotion, users can also redeem a guaranteed-win “Mystery Box” after a single bill payment, with vouchers worth up to $88.

The move comes as payment platforms seek to retain users amid low-margin, high-frequency transactions such as utilities and telecommunications bills.

AXS Payments operates Singapore’s largest bill-payment network, connecting consumers to more than 800 billing organisations across government agencies, utilities, financial services and telecommunications providers. Internal surveys conducted by the company showed that utilities and telecoms bills account for the bulk of regular payments for more than half of respondents.

As bill payments shift further to digital channels, AXS says users are seeking greater value without sacrificing simplicity. In the survey, 53% of respondents preferred cashbacks and 41% favoured loyalty points, with many reporting the use of multiple payment platforms to access different incentives.

“Paying bills is an essential but uncelebrated part of daily life, and there’s always a desire for more value from services our users already rely on. We have long tried to incentivise this through popular lucky draws, and AXS Rewards is a further step to improve the bill management experience. When one in three working adults uses our platform to manage bills, it makes sense to make that experience more rewarding,” says Quah Chun Han, chief executive officer of AXS Payments.
