Global Investments has reported earnings of $25.5 million for the FY2024 ended Dec 31, 2024, up 196.5% y-o-y from the $8.6 million reported in the same period a year ago.
The group’s earnings per share for the FY2024 came in at 1.57 cents per share, up 185.4% y-o-y from 0.55 cents per share from FY2023.
The group’s 2HFY2024 earnings came in 79.7% y-o-y higher at $12.4 million up from the $6.9 million reported in 2HFY2023.
For FY2024, the company reported a total income of $29.7 million, up 132% y-o-y. This was largely attributable to the fair value gain on financial assets at fair value through profit or loss (FVTPL) of $15.9 million compared to a fair value gain of $1.1 million last year.
Global Investments has reported a slightly higher dividend income of $2.9 million as compared to $2.4 million last year.
Meanwhile, interest income remains at $10.8 million for FY2024, and a net foreign exchange gain of $0.2 million as compared to a net foreign exchange loss of $1.5 million last year.

The company recorded a return on equity of 9.6% in 2024 compared to 3.3% in 2023.
Global Investments has recommended a payout of 0.40 cents per share and the scrip dividend scheme will be applied to it.
Shares in Global Investments closed 0.3 cents higher or 2.521% up at 12.2 cents on Feb 25.
