Environmental engineering company Sanli Environmental has on July 15 been awarded a $72.67 million from the Public Utilities Board (PUB) for the construction and commissioning of new disinfection systems at Johor River Waterworks (JRWW), located at Kota Tinggi, Johor, Malaysia.
Including this award, the group’s order book currently stands at $329.8 million, which is expected to be completed by early 2026.

Chua Teck Huat, CEO of Sanli says, “Amidst the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, the contract is a welcome win for us. It also a reflection of the confidence that PUB has in us for delivering critical water treatment installations to ensure the sustainable supply of water to Singapore.”
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, this contract is expected to have a positive impact on the group’s results for the financial year ending Mar 31, 2022.
Shares in Sanli closed at 7.1 cents.
