SINGAPORE (June 21): UOL Group, UIC Group and Haw Par Corp have called for trading halts respectively.

Is UOL, the property firm controlled by UOB Chairman Wee Cho Yaw, offering to buy out United Industrial Corp (UIC) in a second attempt after its 2009 bid?

Wee currently holds 49.75% stake in UIC, according to Reuters.
