Top Glove signs sale and purchase to acquire Eastern Press for nearly $15 mil

SINGAPORE (Nov 3): Top Glove Corporation has entered into a sale and purchase agreement to acquire Eastern Press Sdn Bhd, a printing and packaging material manufacturer for the sum of RM46.25 million ($14.9 million).

The transaction is expected to enable Top Glove to improve its supply chain coordination, allowing for flexible planning and better lead time, in relation to the supply of packaging material for its glove products, as well as better cost and quality control.

The synergistic effects generated are in turn envisaged to contribute positively to the earnings of the group for the financial year ending Aug 31 2018.
