SINGAPORE (Apr 16): Qian Hu Corp, the integrated ornamental fish service provider, reported a 2.8% fall in first quarter earnings to $35,000 in 1Q18 from $36,000 in 1Q17.

Group revenue, which came in at $21.6 million, was 0.2% higher compared to the previous year, with core businesses, Ornamental Fish and Accessories, both reporting slightly higher sales.

In 1Q18, the group’s Ornamental Fish sales rose by 2.2% to $9.5 million, boosted by sales contributed from its new Aquaculture business, as well as increased exports to more customers and countries around the world from its hubs in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. Operating profit fell 4.5% to $365,000.
