With personalised programmes, lush surroundings and care that anticipates your needs before you even arrive, RXV Wellness Village is where busy bees come to check in and switch off
Just an hour from Bangkok, nestled on a lush 50-acre heritage estate along the Tha Chin River, RXV Wellness Village is a destination that truly redefines what it means to rest and recover.
Designed by the team behind the renowned RAKxa Integrative Wellness Retreat, RXV offers something refreshingly different: a sanctuary that provides authentic, personalised wellness, rather than just booking you in for a spa and yoga class and then calling it a day.
Unlike typical health resorts that focus solely on detoxes or fitness boot camps, RXV takes a more intelligent and nuanced approach. Its programmes are built around the individual, whether a high-functioning executive battling chronic stress, a family seeking meaningful time together or a teenager overwhelmed by digital life. The retreat combines evidence-based treatments with traditional healing, spread across three wellness zones — a science-focused clinic, a physical fitness hub and a tranquil spa for mind-body therapies.

With a family-friendly philosophy, RXV welcomes children and teens, creating space for multigenerational healing. Add in the Rainbow Food dining concept (designed to feed both the gut and the soul), bespoke rooms infused with local craftwork and a holistic programme that begins even before arrival and RXV presents itself as one of Southeast Asia’s most complete wellness escapes, in my opinion — even more complete than what you would see in season three of The White Lotus.
Stepping into stillness
When I first heard about RXV, it sounded like a retreat made for someone else — someone with more time, less inbox pressure and probably a better skincare routine. But after a string of long workdays, restless nights and that creeping sense of burnout, I realised it might be exactly what I needed. So I signed up for a short stay.
Just an hour from Bangkok, RXV Wellness Village redefines rest and recovery
From the start, RXV felt different. Before I even checked in, I was asked to participate in a teleconsultation with a wellness advisor. It wasn’t just about preferences or dietary restrictions; they wanted to know how I was really doing. My sleep, stress levels, digestion, focus and wellness goals — these all became data points that the RXV team used to build a wellness plan tailored to my needs. That alone made me feel taken care of.
Arriving at the estate felt like stepping into a different rhythm. Surrounded by tranquil, unspoilt nature, my room overlooked the vibrant, earthy river, filled with a quiet that makes you realise how loud life has been. With a balcony of its own, I often sat there, watching the river flow slowly and recognising that my own pace was slowing too, a welcome change.
Wellness done right
What impressed me most was how deeply attuned the staff were. One morning, I woke up feeling slightly off — not quite sick, but not quite right either. I mentioned it to the concierge, but somehow, word got out fast, and the whole RXV team knew.
Without fuss, my schedule was gently adjusted. Instead of a strength session, I was given a treatment designed to support immunity and ease fatigue, with a little more rest time in between. The therapists were already briefed. The front desk knew. Even the chef had altered my meals for the day. It felt like being wrapped in care from all sides, without ever having to ask for it.

This isn’t wellness as performance. You’re not here to optimise your step count or “crush” a detox. You’re here to be heard, held and healed. I spent my days moving between deep-tissue massages, breathwork classes, sound healing and gentle hydrotherapy. There was no pressure to do more. Only encouragement to tune in.

The Good Night Sleep Massage was one of my favourite therapies. A calming ritual using crystal sound bowls and aromatic oils helped me sleep more deeply than I had in months. Another favourite was the Myofascia Release with Indiba session, a modern physiotherapy treatment where the therapist combines myofascial release techniques with an Indiba machine that delivers heat and radiofrequency to muscles for enhanced healing and recovery. I had knee surgery last year and have struggled with tight leg muscles since. This treatment significantly eased my aches and pains.
Meals at RXV Kitchen were also colourful, nourishing and thoughtful, never ascetic. I loved how I could simply sit down and have my entire meal already planned. The chef is already updated on my conditions and wellness goals, then personalises every meal to help me meet those goals, even though my stay at RXV was a short one.
The retreat blends evidence-based care with traditional healing
What stayed with me was how easy it was to let go. I didn’t need to decide, plan or manage. RXV took care of it all. My only job was to rest and relax. After a life spent in high-function mode, that feels like a luxury.
RXV is ideal for busy professionals who don’t want just another yoga retreat or surface-level “self-care” weekend. Here, everything is intentional, from the Gut-Brain Harmony treatments and cryotherapy to the curated family programmes that allow even kids to experience wellness on their terms.
It’s also remarkably accessible. Just 55 minutes from Suvarnabhumi Airport, RXV is close enough for a weekend escape yet immersive enough for a complete reset. Whether you’re travelling solo, with a partner or as a family, RXV tailors the experience to your real-life needs and ensures it continues long after you leave. I was surprised to receive emails from the team days after I’d returned to Singapore, simply checking in.
When I checked out, it didn’t feel like I was leaving a retreat. It felt like I’d reclaimed a part of myself, more confident and ready to step back into life with a renewed breath to spare.
