DigiMuse Presents is a series of events that uses technology in a wide array of innovative mediums of expression in the world of art. This initiative by the National Museum of Singapore invites artists, technologists and culture professionals to co-create projects, and provides platforms to showcase the possibilities of integrating culture with technology. Launching in conjunction with Singapore Art Week 2019, this edition of DigiMuse Presents explores the coming together of art, culture and technology through the use of new creative tools. The featured art installations utilise technology such as immersive reality, robotics, artificial intelligence, 3D printing and social media.

Watch aficionados can get an intimate knowledge of the Senator Cosmopolite in steel, which will take centrestage at the Glashütte Original pop-up exhibition. Glashütte Original epitomises the German watchmaking art. View masterpieces that are produced by skilled craftsmen with a passion for their work. Visitors can also take pictures in a specially set up photobooth with a green screen.

For the very first time, Royal Plaza on Scotts, together with Intersections Gallery, will host the Back to the Future art exhibition that highlights the works of Myanmar contemporary artists Wunna Aung and Thu Myat. The lobby of the hotel is transformed into an art gallery that will transport visitors to a world filled with Myanmar’s historical past through amazing art pieces.

Take in all the sights and be part of the Chinese New Year festivities at ION Orchard. Themed “Stream of Abundance”, the mall is festooned with vibrant colours in patterns inspired by the koi fish, which is thought to bring good fortune. On level 3, visitors can take a stroll through the Chinese Garden, which features a beautiful arrangement of panels that carry predictions for 2019 for the different Chinese zodiac signs.

At the movies The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part
Following the success of the first movie, this sequel shows Bricksburg’s condition five years later. The place has become a post-apocalyptic wasteland, with Duplo invaders from outer space wreaking havoc there. Protagonist Emmet and his friends are captured and taken as prisoners to shape-shifter Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi. Emmet escapes, and together with intergalactic hero Rex Dangervest, launches a rescue mission to save the others and bring peace to Bricksburg. The voice talents of Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks and Will Arnett from the first movie are back along with newcomers Tiffany Haddish and Maya Rudolph. Movie opens Feb 7.
Colette
A biographical movie about Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette — a French author who was known for her novella Gigi, which was made into a movie in 1944. Keira Knightly stars as Colette, who marries Parisian author Henry Gauthier-Villars (Dominic West). The latter is a bully who forces her to write novels and uses his name as the author. After much torment, she leaves him and pursues the right to live her life the way she desires. Movie opens Feb 7.
