SINGAPORE (Mar 18): Just moved into your new home? The decorating fun begins! If you want a conversation piece, get a little help from Danish lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen.

Originally launched in white in 2015, the Patera pendant light now comes in a stunning silver-foil material. The light, designed by Øivind Slaatto for Louis Poulsen, is sophisticated and daring and a fabulous addition to modern or traditional spaces.

A single Patera silver pendant light creates a luminous focal point, but a series of them — staggered or aligned, in one size or all three — creates a sense of magic, the way we feel when we gaze at the starry sky.

The Patera silver pendant light is assembled entirely by hand, and available in diameters of 450mm, 600mm or 900mm. Light and airy, the pendant is easy to install and comes with an E27/E26 fitting, allowing the use of a variety of light sources, including LED.

The main dial is slate grey and has a vertically brushed finish, while the blue flange features a white minute track to match the overall design and increase legibility.

A pink gold encounter  

Presented at the Venice International Film Festival, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Joaillerie 101 Feuille is a story of watchmaking expertise that meets jewellery perfection, dating back to 1929 with the creation of the smallest mechanical movement in the world. The timepiece, with 110 pavé diamonds arranged by hand, is available in pink gold. The lid takes the shape of a headdress and is adorned with brilliant and baguette-cut diamonds. The dial of the watch is either hidden or revealed to the light of day by a flip of the lid.
