Gone are the days of business travel fatigue, as Taiwan's EVA Air raises the bar for business-class partnerships with its latest offerings for corporate travellers.
The Star Alliance member unveiled EVA BizFam in April 2025 — a business travel rewards programme designed to simplify travel management for companies and reward both businesses and employees for flying EVA Air.
The launch coincides with EVA Air’s upcoming expansion into the southern United States (US), with a new direct route between Taipei and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport starting Oct 3.
These moves reflect EVA Air’s continued investment in premium travel and its ambition to provide high-touch service tailored for corporate clients, even as business travel patterns evolve in the post-pandemic era.
No weary travellers here, just comfort
At its core, EVA BizFam, short for business family, is EVA Air’s bespoke corporate travel rewards platform.
More than a loyalty scheme, EVA BizFam is a holistic programme that aims to create a win-win ecosystem for companies and their employees.
Additionally, employees who join EVA Air’s BizFam can also reap rewards from a range of global joint promotion partner benefits.
Through the programme, companies that book EVA Air flights for work-related travel can earn and redeem points for travel privileges, while their employees still retain the ability to accumulate personal Infinity MileageLands miles, EVA Air’s frequent flyer programme.
Unlike traditional frequent flyer programmes that prioritise individual travel behaviour, EVA BizFam brings the company into the equation.
The idea is simple: the more employees fly with EVA Air for work, the more benefits the company and employees receive.
The programme’s structure has also been streamlined for ease of use, with companies receiving a unique corporate ID after registering with EVA BizFam.
Whenever an employee books a business trip through their EVA BizFam account, the flight accrues mileage to the company’s collective EVA BizFam pool—provided the employee’s EVA Air frequent flyer membership is linked to the account.
The more eligible flights an organisation accumulates, the more points it can redeem for valuable travel benefits. These include free flight tickets, cabin upgrades and exclusive airport privileges such as extra baggage and lounge access.
On the other hand, the employee can continue to accumulate miles through EVA Air’s Infinity MileageLands programme, enjoying the dual benefit of personal and corporate rewards.
This hybrid approach encourages higher employee satisfaction while offering the company tangible returns on its travel spending.
“In appreciation of the long-standing support from our corporate clients worldwide, we developed EVA BizFam to enhance the travel experience with greater convenience, flexibility, and care,” says EVA Air’s President, Clay Sun.
He adds: “At EVA Air, corporate members are not just travellers but valued partners on a shared journey. Whether for business or leisure, we welcome them to enjoy the full range of services and exclusive benefits of EVA BizFam. By offering global resources and forging cross-industry partnerships, we aim to create meaningful collaborations that generate mutual value and benefits that we pass directly back to our members.
The EVA BizFam programme is also an extension of EVA Air’s long-standing emphasis on quality and reliability in the skies. Known for its impeccable cabin service, award-winning safety standards, and meticulously maintained aircraft, EVA Air has steadily built a reputation among premium travellers as one of Asia’s top full-service carriers.
Just this year, the airline was awarded SKYTRAX's five-star airline certification for the tenth consecutive year, and clinched 11 awards—including first for “Best Economy Class Catering” and “World's Cleanest Airline”.
In particular, EVA Air’s Royal Laurel Class, the airline’s business class product, consistently garners high marks for comfort, privacy and service.
With fully lie-flat seats, curated gourmet meals, and an attentive crew, the airline has managed to carve out a loyal following among long-haul business travellers seeking both rest and efficiency.
New inroads into the US
Meanwhile, EVA Air is also expanding its route network with its planned launch of a new direct route between Taipei and Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas.
Beginning Oct 3, the airline will offer three weekly flights between Taiwan’s capital and the second-busiest airport in the US.
International skies will see EVA Air’s flight BR50 every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, with flights departing Taipei at 7.10 pm and arriving in Dallas at 7.40 pm the same day.
The return flight, BR49 will leave Dallas at 10.50 pm every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, arriving in Taipei at 4.05 am the following day.
The Taipei-Dallas-Fort Worth frequency will then increase to five weekly flights starting Nov 18, before settling on a daily basis from Dec 15.
This will lift the number of weekly flights between Taiwan and North America to 94, cementing EVA Air’s position as the carrier with the most destinations and the most extensive network linking the two regions.
The airline will also serve the route with Boeing’s 787-9 aircraft, featuring the Royal Laurel Class, Economy Class and the new fourth-generation Premium Economy Class.
EVA Air’s new Premium Economy cabin offers 28 seats in a 2-3-2 layout, featuring cradle-style recline that preserves legroom while delivering an eight-inch tilt.
Each seat is outfitted with a 15.6-inch high-resolution screen, device holder, multi-function controller as well as both standard alternating current (AC) and USB power outlets—aimed squarely at fitting the modern traveller’s needs.
With its convenient hub at Taipei Taoyuan International Airport and partnership with fellow Star Alliance members, EVA Air’s proposition becomes even more attractive to regional businesses with global ambitions.
This new route adds an essential connection for American South and Southwest businesses.
Dallas-Fort Worth is a major hub for finance, energy, technology and manufacturing, and EVA Air’s entrance into this market allows for smoother travel not only to Taiwan, but also onward to East and Southeast Asia via its Taipei hub.
It is also a strategic move in light of the growing trade and investment flows between the US and Asia-Pacific, particularly in high-value sectors like semiconductors, electric vehicles and digital services.
For Singapore-based businesses with partners in both regions, the route could offer a more efficient alternative to congested gateways like Los Angeles or San Francisco.
“The opening of the direct passenger flight to Dallas makes us the only airline in Asia to operate two routes to Texas. As the third largest airport in the world in terms of passenger traffic and transfer to major cities in the United States, Central and South America, having service in this market creates more convenience for our passengers,” says Sun.
An opportune moment
As global air travel continues its post-pandemic recovery, EVA Air’s timing is deliberate.
While leisure travel led the early rebound, business travel is now showing signs of steady resurgence.
According to industry estimates, global business travel spending could exceed pre-pandemic levels by 2026, with Asia-Pacific expected to drive much of that growth.
But corporate travellers today are more discerning, with cost-efficiency, flexibility and wellness now just as important as reliability.
EVA Air’s dual push, enhancing the value proposition for business travel via EVA BizFam while broadening access via new routes, positions the airline well to serve this next phase of demand.
In a landscape where many carriers are still cutting corners or reducing frequencies, EVA Air’s commitment stands out.
Whether it’s the quiet luxury of Royal Laurel Class, the earn-and-redeem simplicity of EVA BizFam, or the convenience of new non-stop links to major economic hubs like Dallas, the message is clear: EVA Air wants to be the carrier of choice for the region’s most dynamic companies.
