Evonne Tan, head of Barclays private bank in Singapore, will be joining Schroders Wealth Management as CEO of Asia Wealth Management on Jul 1, 2026.
In her new appointment, Tan will be spearheading the business unit’s strategic growth, strengthening client relationships and enhancing a high-performing, scalable platform across Asia.
Schroders Wealth Management CEO Oliver Gregson says that Tan’s appointment reflects the firm’s ambition and intent to develop a “modern, global, collaborative and truly client-led” wealth management business, with Asia representing an important market.
“Evonne is an exceptional leader with a proven track record of building and scaling successful wealth businesses in Asia,” says Gregson. “Her deep regional expertise, strong client focus and ability to lead high-performing teams make her ideally placed to take our Asia business into its next phase of growth.”
With more than three decades of experience across wealth management, private banking, and global markets in Asia, Tan has established a track record of delivering sustainable growth and building client-centric businesses serving ultra-high net work (UHNW) clients and family offices according to Schroders.

Joining Barclays in March 2021, Tan led the successful re-entry and expansion of the private bank business in Asia. Under her leadership, the business grew from inception to become one of the fastest-growing private banking franchises within the group. She also played a key role in strengthening cross-divisional collaboration and embedding robust governance, risk management, and regulatory standards.
Prior to Barclays, Tan held senior roles at UBS as executive director and market team head for UNHW clients. She was with Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank earlier in her career.
Tan holds a Master of Science in Wealth Management from the University of Rochester and a Master’s Degree in Advanced Studies in Finance from the University of Bern.
