Jinyee Young, who is now the bank’s market group head for its private bank business in Singapore, Malaysia and South Asia, will be made the deputy head of wealth management Asia Pacific.
Young will join the bank’s key governance committees, including joining the APAC operating committee as the bank’s third female member after Chien Chien Wong (COO APAC) and Janice Hu (CEO China).

She is also the first ever female leader in a senior private banking role to be joining the bank’s APAC operating committee.

Wong, meanwhile, has been named CEO for Credit Suisse Singapore – the bank’s first female CEO for this market. This appointment is on top of her existing role as COO Asia Pacific.
Wong joined what was then Credit Suisse First Boston in 1992.

All three new appointments will take effect on Jan 1.
