With the introduction of the new committees, both CDG and SBS Transit will now have five board committees each while Vicom will have three.
CGD’s sustainability committee is chaired by independent director Jessica Cheam, who is also managing director of Eco-Busines, a business intelligence firm dedicated to sustainable development.
Lim Jit Poh, Chairman of CDG, says the move is timely as ESG issues now figure in all decision-making processes within the group. “By introducing a board-level committee, we are making it clear that we do not take ESG matters lightly,” he says.
Shares in CDG, SBS Transit and Vicom closed at $1.72, $3.16 and $2.18 respectively on April 30.
