Two Singaporean business leaders are included in Fortune’s Most Powerful People in Business List 2025, released Aug 5.

DBS Group Holdings CEO Tan Su Shan placed #28 among 100 executives, landing between Berkshire Hathaway chairman and CEO Warren Buffett (#27) and BlackRock CEO Larry Fink (#29).

This is the first time a DBS CEO has been recognised on the annual list, which began in November 2024.

Meanwhile, Sea CEO Forrest Li is ranked #97.

Both Tan and Li helm the only two Singaporean companies with a market capitalisation of over $100 billion.

Topping the list this year are Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Tesla CEO Elon Musk and BYD CEO Wang Chuanfu.

According to Fortune, key criteria include the size and health of the leaders’ business, as well as the “innovation, influence and impact” of the leaders themselves.

In May, Tan was the only Singaporean to be placed in the top 10 of Fortune’s global list of 100 Most Powerful Women in Business.

The women-only list also included Bonnie Chan, CEO of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing. Chan ranked #53 in the latest all-gender list.
