Japan’s Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corp. (NTT Group) has appointed Bank of America (BofA) and UBS to work on the data centre REIT listing in Singapore, according to Reuters. The appointments were first reported by the International Financing Review (IFR) earlier on Jan 10.
In September 2024, several media, including Bloomberg, reported that the group was considering listing a global data centre REIT in Singapore. Per Bloomberg’s sources, the group could raise as much as US$1 billion ($1.29 billion) from the sale.
According to Reuters’ sources, the listing is likely to happen in the second half of 2025.
In response to queries by Reuters, NTT DATA Group said that it is “currently evaluating the potential of forming a REIT. However, at this moment, no definitive decisions have been made.”
“Consequently, we do not have any additional comments to provide at this time," NTT added.
