According to Soon Lian, the group took “immediate action” to “identify, contain and address” the “incident”.
The attack was also reported to the relevant authorities including the Singapore Police Force, the Personal Data Protection Commission, and the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore. Investigations into the Incident are currently ongoing.
The group said there has been no significant impact to its business operations and that it activated its business continuity plan immediately after.
“Based on preliminary investigations of the incident, neither the group nor its external experts have observed any evidence of data exfiltration,” says Soon Lian in its statement.

On June 19, food and beverage (F&B) company YKGIreported that its customer relationship management system was hacked. The system was operated by an external vendor. YKGIis the operator of Yew Kee Duck Rice and bubble tea outlet Chicha San Chen.
On May 23, Jumbo Groupreported that it was the victim of a ransomware attack. At the time, the group also announced that no evidence of data exfiltration was found.
Shares in Soon Lian closed flat at 19 cents on July 3.
