When asked if Ng has received the vaccine yet, he says he is scheduled to do so soon.
“I was told that [my vaccination will be conducted] on Jan 29,” he says at SIAEC’s launch of its Phase 2 of its Transformation Programme on Jan 20.

Industries that are vulnerable to the spread of Covid-19, such as aviation, construction and offshore and marine, are also among the earliest to receive the vaccine.
Ng says the response from SIAEC staff has been “quite encouraging”, though he notes that for those with certain medical conditions have been advised to abstain from vaccination for now.
“For others, we are encouraging them to do so. We are working with NTUC to reach out to them on the importance and benefit of vaccination,” he says.
